ENG vs WI 1st Test: Ben Stokes' English team has returned to what they do the best, play aggressive Test cricket. Kraigg Brathwaite's West Indies are touring England for a three match Test series which is also a part of the World Test Championship cycle scheduled to end in 2025. The first Test match between both the two sides is being played at the Home of Cricket Lord's and the entire focus remains on James Anderson who is playing his last match for England.
ECB's Special Tribute to Jimmy Anderson
James Anderson has been a stalwart of the game of cricket. Jimmy with his immaculate bowling and the ability to swing the ball both ways is the highest wicket-taking seam bowler of all time. In a career that has spanned over two decades, Jimmy has delivered many match winning performances that has helped England dominate at home. Anderson has been a three format player for the English outfit, but it is his performances in Test matches that puts him in the league of greats.
With over 700 Test wickets, the 41-years-old Jimmy Anderson will go as one of the greatest of all times. If things go well for Jimmy in the last Test match, he might also go on and break Shane Warne's record of taking 708 Test wickets. The English & Wales Cricket Board had a special tribute planned for Jimmy. Prior to the start of the 1st ENG vs WI Test, the ECB got Jimmy Anderson's daughter to ring the 5 minutes long bell.

Anderson Chases Shane Warne's Record
The late Shane Warne will always remain one of the greatest bowlers to grace the game of cricket ever. Be it his skills, attitude, flare or flamboyance, Warnie is somebody who outfoxed batsmen with ease. Anderson has operated for over 20 years now and is almost close to breaking the legendary Warne's record in Test matches. Warne had claimed 708 wickets from 145 Tests that he played for Australia. Jimmy on the other hand has 701 wickets that he managed to take in 188* odd matches.
