'They're Two Great Players': Jos Buttler Opens Up On The AVAILABILITY Of Stokes-Root Duo For CT 2025

English keeper-batter Jos Buttler recently opened up on the availability of Ben Stokes and Joe Root for the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan.

As the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 approaches, there are several speculations regarding the squad that England will take for the tournament. Two of England's best players of all time, Joe Root and Ben Stokes according to reports are doubtful for the upcoming tournament as they are currently focused on red ball cricket. The last time the two players played white ball cricket was back in 2023 when India hosted the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup. 

The England side is now full of young stars but Jos Buttler is hopeful that the duo will have positive talks with coach Brendon McCullum and be included in the squad for the CT 2025. 

Buttler Hopes Root-Stokes Duo Be Available For CT 2025 

English wicketkeeper batter Jos Buttler remains hopeful that the duo of Ben Stokes and Joe Root will be a part of the ICC tournament for England and help their cause in the tournament.

"I don't know exactly. Obviously Brendon McCullum is coming in full-time and he'll be in touch with the guys. It's conversations for the next few weeks with the guys in charge. The guys here have played really well. Some of the young players have done themselves no harm at all. There are people who aren't here who will have aspirations to be in the white-ball side as well. It's really exciting," stated Jos Buttler after England picked up the series win against West Indies. 

‘I Hope They Have White-Ball Aspirations’- Jos Buttler 

Jos Buttler after England's 3-1 win over West Indies further stated that he hopes the two star players have white-ball aspirations and they could hopefully be a part of England's squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

"I can't speak for them individually but I hope they have white-ball aspirations. They're two great players," said Jos Buttler.
