Kamran Akmal Reveals His Chat With Harbhajan Singh After Ex-Pak Star’s Disputed Remark on Arshdeep

Team India's spectacular bowling at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 garnered applause from all over, but it also sparked questions among the team's arch-rivals, Pakistan. Former PAK cricketer Kamran Akmal, in particular, gave a remark over Arshdeep Singh, which irked a lot of Indian fans as it hurt the sentiments of a particular set of community as he received an angry retort from Indian cricket legend Harbhajan Singh. After that incident, Bhajji and Akmal came face-to-face at Edgbaston, Birmingham during the World Championship of Legends.

The Harbhajan Singh-Kamran Akmal row began over social media, but the two cricketers eventually came face to face as both were a part of the World Championship of Legends at Edgbaston, Birmingham as the Indian legends faced off against their Pakistani counterparts. At the match-up, Harbhajan and Kamran engaged in an animated conversation, which had the fans guessing whether or not they talked regarding the disputable incident which irked a lot of cricket fans.

"(Mujhse galti hui thi aur wahi ek baat chal rahi thi) [I made a mistake, and that was the only topic being discussed.] It was never my intention, and I can never think negatively about anyone's religion. I have made that clear. It should be done because I am younger, they are seniors and a great off-spinner in Indian and world cricket," Kamran Akmal revealed during his conversation with Paktv.tv.

Kamran Akmal came under fire after his racist remarks on Arshdeep Singh caused quite a stir on the internet as it hurt religious sentiments. Harbhajan Singh launched a scathing response over it as he criticized Akmal's retort and he asked to learn about the history of Sikhs before speaking anything about them. To do some damage control, the former PAK cricketer and analyst had to send out an apology after his racist remark triggered the fans.

Regarding the match, Pakistan had a good day as they were able to limit the India Champions in the World Championship of Legends. They defeated the Men in Blue Champions by 68 runs in Birmingham.
