MS Dhoni Casts His Vote in Ranchi As Phase One Voting In Jharkhand Commences

To cast their vote in the Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024, former Team India captain MS Dhoni and his spouse, Sakshi, showed up at a booth in Ranchi today.

As the election saga grips several parts of Jharkhand, former Team India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen arriving at a polling booth in the state capital Ranchi to cast his vote. Him and his wife, Sakshi, arrived at a booth today to cast their votes for the Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024.

MS Dhoni , Sakshi Arrive At A Polling Booth, Former Skipper Casts His Vote For 2024 Jharkhand Assembly Elections

Former Team India skipper MS Dhoni and his spouse Sakshi were seen at a polling booth in ranch. The couple came forward to cast their votes as the Phase one of the Jharkhand Assembly Elections began. As the couple entered the polling booth, fans thronged to get a glimpse of him and MS Dhoni walked along with his wife. Security personnel held the fans behind as they walked into the booth to present their votes. 

In another video, Dhoni was seen inside the booth as the cameras thronged the place to get a glimpse of him. He casted his vote and walked out of the booth. Dhoni did not speak to the media.

Before the elections began, the former Team India wicketkeeper-batter was appointed as Jharkhand's brand ambassador for the elections. The Chief Electoral officer assured that they had MS Dhoni's consent for using his photographs to raise awareness among the masses. Dhoni was brought in as a part of the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation program, between known as the SWEEP program.

The ECI reports that the district of Palamu had 56.57 percent of the vote, while Ranchi, the state capital, had the lowest turnout at 53.40 percent thus far. With 66.38 percent of the vote, Seraikela-Kharsawan is leading, followed by Lohardaga and Simdega, with 65.99 and 64.31 percent of the vote, respectively.
