Australia dominated the second ODI match against South Africa

In the second ODI, Australia chose to bat first, and Travis Head  (64) and David Warner got off to a great start. Head quickly reached his half-century, and Warner reached his 20th ODI century (106). This gave Australia's innings a strong start. Marnus Labuschagne, who was the MVP of the first ODI, kept up his great form with another century (124). This helped Australia get a big score of 392/8 in their allowed 50 overs. South Africa had a fast start, but it was hard for them to keep going. Quinton de Kock and Heinrich Klaasen both made important efforts, but Australia's Adam Zampa was the star with the ball, taking 4/48 at the end. South Africa ended up being out for 269 runs.

With 121 points, Australia moved past Pakistan and into first place in the Men's ICC ODI Rankings. Pakistan has 120 points and will play India today in the Super Four fixture of the Asia Cup 2023. Team India are currently 3rd on the ICC ODI rankings but will fight for the top place as the season awaits of many ODI matches.
