MS Dhoni's manager drops a big hint about his future, says MSD keen on pursuing forces actively

Following India's exit from the ongoing World Cup after the semi-final loss to New Zealand by 18 runs on July 9, rumors loomed about former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni considering his retirement from the game. Although no such decision has been taken by the World Cup-winning captain yet, rumours of Dhoni potentially joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after his retirement made rounds in the media. Now however, the former Skipper's manager dropped a huge hint, indicating that Dhoni is keen on joining the Indian security forces post his retirement and that he wants to actively pursue the forces. 'Captain Cool' Dhoni is a Lt Col of the Indian Territorial Armyt, a matter which became a big talking point in the beginning stages of the World Cup after he was spotted sporting the 'Balidaan Badge' Army insignia during the stumping of Andile Phehlukwayo in India's opener against South Africa. The regimental dagger is the insignia of the Indian Para Special Forces with whom Dhoni has also undergone a brief period of training. During the course of his training in Agra, Dhoni is believed to have done five parachute jumps during the training period. Earlier this year, Dhoni and the Indian team wore army caps during the ODI match against Australia at Ranchi as a tribute to the CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the February 14 Pulwama terror attack. MS Dhoni played a crucial knock against the Kiwis, a 50-run knock that almost saw India to victory before he was run-out by Martin Guptill, bringing the curtains down on India's dream of lifting the Cup for the third time after 1983 and 2011.
