The second day of the first test between India and Bangladesh witnessed another magical 'Mayank' innings, as Mayank Agarwal notched up his third century at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. The right-handed opener brought up his ton off 183 balls, laced with 15 boundaries and a six. Not only has the Karnataka-lad been in a spectacular form for the Indian side but has also shone for his domestic side in the Ranji Trophy. As Agrawal breached the 100 mark on the second day, netizens reacted to his century with appraises and awe.

Rahane cruises past 50

Soon after Agrawal notched up his century, Ajinkya Rahane grabbed his 21st half-century to put India into a dominating position after some early blows in the test. India resumed their innings on Day 2 at 86/1. Cheteshwar Pujara reached his fifty but failed to get going as he was dismissed by Abu Jayed on 54. Mayank Agarwal took the aggressor's role as he took on the Bangladesh bowlers and looked the most comfortable batsman scoring runs. After Pujara's dismissal, Agarwal was joined by skipper Virat Kohli at the crease, but the Indian captain was dismissed for a rare duck as he was trapped in front of the wicket by Jayed on just the second ball of his innings. The responsibility of steadying the Indian innings then fell on the shoulders of Agarwal and Rahane.
