This is the fourth edition of the Asian Cricket Council Emerging Teams Cup which will be held in Bangladesh from November 14 to November 23. This year, Nepal have replaced the United Arab Emirates (UAE), who pulled out due to unknown reasons.

Both the teams will look to get going with a win as the tournament is short and any loss can hurt the team's chances of winning. Pakistan Emerging Team is led by Saud Shakeel while Afghanistan Emerging Team is being captained by Najibullah Zadran. Pakistan were the semi-finalists last year as India knocked them out. Afghanistan with a balanced side will look to make their mark in the tournament.
