Pakistan Head Coach Echoes Ricky Ponting's Sentiments, Predicts India's Future In BGT 2025

Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2025: India will lock horns with Australia later this year in November in the most-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The Test series will feature five Tests this time around which will be a fresh challenge for both the teams. India are the defending champions of the BGT and they will want to inflict consecutive fifth series defeat on Australia. It has been a decade that Australia defeated India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Much ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the Australians have started to play mind games and now they have found support in Pakistan .
Jason Gillespie Backs Australia
Pakistan Test Head Coach has had a troubled start to his stint. Bangladesh stunned Pakistan and registered an emphatic series win against them. With this, Bangladesh have gone to the fourth spot of the World Test Championship (WTC) points table and Pakistan are currently reeling and are the eighth spot of the WTC Points Table.
Former Aussie pacer and now the Head Coach of Pakistan 's Test side Gillespie, while speaking to Fox backed Australia to win the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. This was the same prediction that Ricky Ponting made last month. Gillespie also showed tons of confidence in Nathan Lyon, Jos Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins to do the job for Australia in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

India and Australia locked horns in the World Test Championship finals last year. Though Australia might have defeated India, but they might be eyeing a BGT win as well. As things stand now in the current WTC cycle, India and Australia are the top two teams and they might very well end up playing the finals in June next year which will be hosted by the Lord's Cricket Stadium.
