Does that mean Rishabh Pant joining CSK is confirmed? Suresh Raina reveals meeting between ex-DC captain and MS Dhoni . Pant was released by the Capitals and now he will head into the auction pool and with many teams looking for captaincy options, Pant could be in the wishlist of a number of franchises. But Raina claims Pant met Dhoni recently and that has sparked speculations that the ex-DC captain may be joining the Super Kings.

‘Someone will be wearing a yellow jersey soon’

Raina hinted at the development, sharing on JioCinema, “I met MS Dhoni in Delhi, and Pant was also there. Someone will be wearing a yellow jersey soon.”

It is no secret that with Dhoni in the twilight of his career, CSK would be needing a wicketkeeper and who better that Pant. Also, what Pant brings to the table is immense experience of the IPL and the knowhow of playing in Indian conditions. But again, it will not be easy for the Super Kings to lap-up Pant. With a Rs 55 crore remaining purse and an RTM card, CSK are set to face a tough competition to acquire Pant's services. If Pant joins CSK, it will to a large extent secure CSK's future and that is exactly what Dhoni must be planning.
