Prithvi Shaw is feeling awed on his return to training

Shaw posted a story on Instagram showing him practicing light knocking and patiently trying to find his bat's sweet spot. He focused on using his feet to precisely line himself up with the trajectory of the ball. He wrote,  "What a feeling after three months ❤️."

The Delhi Capitals decided to hold onto the gifted opener for one more season, even though Shaw had a difficult time during his eight innings of play in the IPL 2023 season as he scored only 106 runs. The choice was made in the midst of rumours that Shaw may be released in November. Before getting hurt, Shaw had played a fantastic one-day match for Northamptonshire in the domestic league, scoring an astounding 429 runs in just four innings. When he returns to full condition, there's a lot of expectation that he will perform at this exceptional level.

Although Rishabh Pant has joined the Delhi Capitals, players such as Shaw can now play a key role because of the uncertainty surrounding the captain's return. In the absence of their captain, Delhi will be depending on Shaw to have a successful season with significant run-scoring contributions.
