'Quite disheartening': Robin Uthappa reacts to Sanju Samson's infamous snub from IND squad

Sanju Samson's snub from the upcoming Australian series hasn't been well received. The Rajasthan Royals skipper was a part of the Asia Cup contingent as a reserve wicketkeeper but didn't get to play a single match as a fit KL Rahul stormed back to the Indian fold. Samson was expected to be given a chance in the three-match ODI series against Australia.

Sanju Samson wasn't picked in the Australia squad

Samson was last seen in an Indian jersey during the West Indies tour and had an average display against the Caribbean country. He has been unfortunate on some occasions and his recent absence from the squad attracted a lot of criticism. Former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa also questioned Samson's absence from the squad.

He took to social media to provide his input on the Samson saga. He posted, 'The justification could be that even if he was in the squad he wouldn’t get a game. But not even being in the squad would be quite disheartening."
