Ravichandran Ashwin Admits Being Shattered After IND vs NZ series

Ravichandran Ashwin is undoubtedly one of the stalwarts of the game and is considered as one of the sharpest cricketing brains. In the past, Ashwin has won India many games with his bowling. Unfortunately, the story of the IND vs NZ Test series was pretty different for the Indian spinner. By Ashwin's lofty standards, he had a very underwhelming series.

The spinner could take only nine wickets in three matches, and six innings. These are his worst home series figures where he bowled at an excess of 90 overs. Ashwin is an extremely crucial for India as far as home series are concerned. Prior to the India vs New Zealand series, Ashwin has averaged more than 30 in a home Test series only thrice in his career. Unfortunately, India lost two of them, one against England in 2012 and the other against New Zealand in 2024.
