R Ashwin Shares a Heartfelt Moment With Wife & Kids After India’s Spectacular Finish in Chennai Test

Team India had a spectacular end to the first Test match against Bangladesh . The Chennai Test served as a big positive to the Rohit Sharma side as they usher into a new era in red-ball cricket with a thumping win. One of the team's biggest highlights was R Ashwin, who helped Team India when they needed it direly. The veteran bowling all-rounder secured a ton at his home ground, followed by a fifer in the second innings as he helped India win the Chennai Test. After the match, the veteran celebrated the moment with his family in Chepauk.

R Ashwin Shares a Humble Moment With Family After India’s Win in Chennai Test
After winning the Player of the Match award for his spectacular outing, R Ashwin was seen celebrating the moment with his family at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Ashwin's wife Prithi Narayanan, his two kids as well as his parents were at Chepauk, and he celebrated the win with them. Ash's wife asked him what would he give his kids on the occasion of Daughter's Day, to which he responded that he would gift the ball with which he picked the five-wicket haul. When Prithi asked about his performance, Ashwin stated that he hadn't anticipated scoring his fifth ton in a Test match and emphasized the unique energy of the pitch that gave him the motivation.
"I don't know how to react because the first day was something that happened really quickly. I didn't expect to walk in to bat here and get a hundred. I hadn't batted in a while. It feels great. Every time I come here it feels special. I don't know there is some energy in his ground that keeps me going," R Ashwin expressed.
The Veteran India all-rounder also thanked his wife for being there in the stadium and bringing him good luck.
Speaking of the match, Team India secured a thumping win in the first Test match with a 280-run margin on Day 4 of the test Match in Chennai. While Bangladesh did a good job with the bat, they couldn't breach India's fortress as they continued to remain dominant with the bat and the ball. All the attention now pivots towards the second Test match, which will take place from September 27th at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, U.P.
