After the loss against Bangladesh in the first T20, Rohit Sharma addressed a press conference ahead of their second encounter with Bangladesh and spoke about changes in the team in regards to the pitch. The second T20 is slated to take place on November 7 at Rajkot. Rohit, in his address, asserted the pitch of Rajkot to be better than Delhi especially in terms of bowling.
"By the look of it, the pitch looks good. Rajkot has always been a good track to bat and it does offer some assistance to the bowler also. So it will be a good pitch and will be better than what we saw in Delhi," said Rohit.
India's bowling attack in the first T20 was not up to the mark. However, Rohit Sharma stated that the team doesn't need to focus too much on what happened back in Delhi. He further mentioned that there will be no change in the batting line up. However, the bowling attack will be decided after analysing the pitch.
"I don't think we need to think about what happened there (Delhi). Of course, I think the combination that we played in the last game was based on the pitch, so we will see the pitch again today and decide what we need to do in our bowling line up and our batting line up looks good so I don't think we need any change there. We will analyze the pith and see if there is any difference and based on that we will try to see what we can do as a team," he said.
First T20 in Delhi
In a thrilling last-over match, Captain Mahmudullah finished off in style as Bangladesh beat India in the first T20 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi by 7 wickets. This was also Bangladesh's first victory against the Men in Blue in T20 cricket. The much-speculated match, owing to the high pollution levels in Delhi, witnessed low-scoring but a spectacular show from the Bangladesh team as they took the match up till the last over to hand India defeat in the first match of the three-match T20 series.
