Veteran Indian all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, is an Indian cricketer who has refused to give up. His inclusion in the 2019 ICC World Cup squad was met with much criticism. However, Ravindra Jadeja justified his inclusion with a momentous display in the semi-final against New Zealand. Although India ended up on the losing side in that encounter, Jadeja earned positive reaction for his overall performance (77 from 59 balls, two catches, one wicket, and one run-out) and successfully managed to silence his critics.

Jadeja in 3rd T20I against South Africa

Following that display, the Chennai Super Kings cricketer was called up to the India squad for the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa. Ravindra Jadeja played two of three T20I matches that were scheduled to take place (the first one was called off due to bad weather conditions). Jadeja scored a fast-paced 19 off 17 deliveries before being caught and bowled by Kagiso Rabada in Sunday's game. He got India to a paltry 134/9 which South Africa successfully chased with nine wickets to spare. Here are more details on Ravindra Jadeja’s performance.

Fails to stop Quinton de Kock

After a spirited display with the bat in the first innings, Ravindra Jadeja and the rest of the Indian bowlers had to defend a target of 135. South Africa captain Quinton de Kock looked in fine form last night as he dispatched the Indian bowling department to all ends of the park in Bengaluru. Ravindra Jadeja was brought in to the attack in order to put a halt to the de Kock onslaught. However, the left-handed spinner gave eight runs in two overs but failed to pick any wickets. South Africa levelled the series in the final T20I 1-1 as de Kock was given the man of the series award.
