Just few days ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) opener, Ricky Ponting has sent a message to the Indian cricket team citing conditions at Perth. Ponting, specifically said that the Indian batters might quite not like the surface of Optus Stadium, Perth.
'Perth is a great place for the series to start in Perth on a fast bouncy wicket that the Indians won’t particularly like, so it’s ideally set up for the Australians to play well', Ponting said to Channel 7.

Tom Latham's New Zealand handed a 3-0 series loss to India earlier this month, their first home Test series loss after 12 years. As a result, India have also been dethroned from the top spot of the World Test Championship Points Table.
