'You should play..': Rishabh Pant Reveals How Ravi Shastri Changed His Career With Just One Advice
Rishabh Pant who is now a T20 WC winner will return to India's Test team in the first Test against Bangladesh ever since his injury
Rishabh Pant 's story is something that will inspire generations to come. The young wicketkeeper-batsman badly injured himself in a horrific car accident in December 2022. It took pant, more than twelve months to recover and wear the keeping gloves again. In a fairy tale kind of an ending, after his recovery, Pant ended up winning the T20 World Cup with India in June earlier this year. India will now take on Bangladesh in a two-match Test series and Pant is all set to make his return in the longest international format.
Rishabh Pant Spills Beans On A Career-Altering Ravi Shastri Advice
Delhi Capital captain and India Star Rishabh Pant has been a dasher since the start of his career and has always played in the same manner. Rishabh pant, with this approach has found a lot of success in Test cricket, but has failed to emulate his heroics in the white-ball format. In the initial phase of his career, the youngster received a lot of flak for his playing style, but he has still found a lot of success with his aggressive gameplay.
While speaking on Tanmay Bhatt's YouTube channel, the star wicketkeeper-batsman said that he doesn't like if somebody tells him not to do a specific thing. Pant further revealed that Ravi Shastri had given him an advice on his batting and it changed his career completely.

‘I did have a great understanding with Ravi Shastri and he gave me all the freedom that I wanted. I prefer somebody giving me a better option rather than asking me to stop doing something. There was a phase in my career where I was getting out to off-spinners. Ravi bhai was constantly thinking what to say to me, he said that he had found a way out and then suggested me to play reverse-sweep against the off-spinners’, said Pant

This is one instance of 'mother of all coincidences', Rishabh Pant , before his horrific car accident played his last Test match against Bangladesh and now, when he is returning to the longest format of the game, Pant will play against Bangladesh in the first Test of the two-match series.
