Rohit Sharma made a tremendous comeback to red-ball cricket as he slammed back-to-back centuries in both innings of the first Test match against South Africa at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vizag. His centuries played an instrumental role for India as they registered a comprehensive win by 203 runs to go 1-0 up in the three-match Test series. While Rohit Sharma silenced his critics who were doubting his place in the Test side he also did not shy away from having fun out in the middle.
Rohit invites Harbhajan Singh to bowl
During Day 3 of the first Test on Friday, Rohit Sharma decided to invite one of his best friends Harbhajan Singh to bowl. Both Rohit and Harbhajan's friendship goes a long way back. The duo was a part of Mumbai Indians' three IPL as well as two CLT20 triumphs. In fact, both were part of the Indian squad that emerged victorious in the inaugural edition of ICC World T20 in 2007. Coming back to their latest interaction, the 'Hitman' was heard calling Harbhajan Singh to the middle in order to bowl by saying that a lot of rough patches have been created on the pitch. Bhajji is currently covering the ongoing bilateral series as a commentator. Rohit was heard speaking on the stump mic. The video of the limted-overs vice-captain calling the veteran off-spinner out was posted by a fan on social media.

After Rohit Sharma had shown the courtesy of inviting Bhajji to bowl, how could the senior spinner not show courtesy? Bhajji took to social media to acknowledge Sharma's gesture. Taking to the micro-blogging site, he wrote that he was coming to ball. At the same time, he also appreciated his former Mumbai Indians skipper by saying that the latter had bowled well too right on the target and asked him to bowl in the veteran offie's style next time.

Piedt's valiant 50 goes in vain
South Africa's tailender Dane Piedt lead the Proteas fightback in vain with a gritty half-century as India bowled out the visitors for 191 runs to pick up the win. Dane Piedt along with Senuran Muthuswamy stitched a crucial ninth-wicket partnership for the Proteas after the top-order collapsed in the first session of the day's play on the final day of the contest. However, the brutal Indian bowling attack left the Proteas in shambles, with Mohammad Shami picking up five scalps along with Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja sharing the spoils. Dane Piedt's knock featured nine boundaries and one six while Muthuswamy scored 49 runs off 108 balls.
