Team India's ODI debutant, B Sai Sudharsan, bagged the Impact Fielder medal award, and it's credits could go to the selfless gesture made by Skipper KL Rahul.
In their all-format tour, the Indian Cricket Team, captained by KL Rahul, won the ODI series against South Africa. Following a stalemate in the T20I series, Team India set out to dominate in the ODI series. In the series-clinching game, the squad emerged as a resilient force, and Rahul became the second Indian captain after Virat Kohli to win an ODI series in the nation of South Africa. The dressing room atmosphere was ecstatic after the win, and a new Impact Fielder of the series was chosen.

Team India hosts Medal Ceremony in dressing room, ODI debutant wins Impact Fielder accolade
The Indian Cricket Team, all jubilant after their ODI series win over South Africa, hosted the medal ceremony in their dressing room, and the team shared the BTS on social media. Head Coach Sitanshu Kotak applauded the players' efforts and also singled out the standouts of the match. Fielding coach Ajay Ratra revealed the nominees, which were KL Rahul, Sanju Samson and Sai Sudharsan.
The competition narrowed down to KL and Sai, with the skipper having six catches and the debutant having just one. But Rahul's generous call led to Sai Sudharsan receiving the medal. The entire squad cheered for the ODI debutant as he received the award from Coach Ratra.

India sweeps ODI series, Sanju Samson stars as the team's saviour
Sanju Samson hit a fine century as India defeated South Africa by 78 runs in the third ODI to clinch the three-match series 2-1 here on Thursday. Sent into bat, India lost both the openers early before Samson hit his maiden ODI hundred. Tilak Varma and Rinku Singh also put up their contributions to take 296 for eight.
The primary wicket takers were Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar, and Avesh Khan, who bowled out the hosts for 218 runs in 45.5 overs.
