Bumrah was due to play the upcoming edition of the Duleep Trophy, but was exempted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) owing to his workload management. Not to forget, Bumrah will be crucial to India's fate when the team travels to Australia for a five-match Test series with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on the line.
India will take on Bangladesh next in a three-match Test and T20I series, but as of now it remains uncertain if Bumrah will feature in those matches for India.
