Bangladesh tour of India 2019
In spite of an impressive debut, the left-arm spinner was still left out of India’s squad for the upcoming home Test series against Bangladesh. BCCI announced the 15-man squad on October 24 for 2019 Ganguly–Durjoy Test series. Upon Nadeem’s exclusion from the squad, cricket expert Harsha Bhogle and some cricket fans took to Twitter to express their disappointments on the social media site.
Below are some reactions on Twitter:
Hard on Shahbaz Nadeem but he was brought in as a replacement. He has done what good players do; has shown his value and will be easier to pick the next time.

Regarding Shahbaz Nadeem: Wonder if the management felt two left-arm orthodox spinners would be a luxury, given Bangladesh play so much of that variety. In that sense, better off not picking Nadeem as he can play for his state rather than warming the bench like Pant & Gill.

The upcoming tour is scheduled to begin with a T20I affair in Delhi on November 3. The opening match will be followed by two more clashes scheduled on November 7 and 10. The second and third T20I matches will be held in Rajkot and Nagpur. The three-match T20I series will then be followed by two Test matches which will begin on November 14 at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. To complete the tour, the final match of the series is scheduled for November 22 at the Eden Gardens. The Ganguly–Durjoy Test series will also form a part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship.
