Rohit Sharma-led Team India scripted history at the Kensington Oval in Barbados as they defeated South Africa by 7 runs in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup finals. This was Team India's second T20 World Cup across nine editions and Rohit Sharma's first as the captain of the blue brigade. Sharma is the only cricketer to have won the T20 World Cup both as a player and as a skipper of the side.

Suryakumar Yadav Secretly Records Rohit and Virat

The Indian team returned to the country on July 4, 2024 and were given a grand welcome. The victorious World T20 squad first met the Prime Minister of India at his residence to have a short chat and breakfast with hi. Post that the Indian team flew out to Mumbai where they had participate in a victory parade. The Indian team travelled from the Mumbai Airport to the Wankhede Stadium and the amount of love they were shown was worth the glory they earned.

During the victory parade, Suryakumar Yadav sneaked in a camera and secretly recorded Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's bromance. Surya captured the BTS moments of the iconic Kohli and Rohit picture on the top of the team bus. This video has been now shared on Mumbai Indians' Instagram account.

Team India Script History In Barbados

Team India ended their title drought after 11 odd years. Prior to this, they last won an ICC trophy in 2013 under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Since then India played 5 finals but never ended on the right side of things. Team India in Barbados, had almost lost another finals but it was a piece of brilliant catch by Suryakumar Yadav that saved India's day. After India won their second T20 World Cup, both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their international retirements. Kohli event went on to say that he had a lot of belief in the Indian youngsters and their capability to keep the Indian flag waving high.
