Sourav Ganguly had a modest reply to Yuvraj Singh's message after he had come forward to congratulate Dada on being elected as the new BCCI President

The newly elected, soon-to-be BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly has been getting congratulatory messages from everywhere. Even the members from the cricketing fraternity including India and worldwide had come forward to wish Dada luck on his new role. After his official appointment on October 23, he will become the second captain in 65 years to become BCCI President. Lately, one of Ganguly's former Indian team-mate, a good friend and a go-to man with the bat, ball and on the field Yuvraj Singh also came forward to congratulate his former skipper and what followed thereafter will make your day as both the southpaws had mutual respect each other.

Yuvraj Singh congratulates Sourav Ganguly

Yuvraj Singh congratulated Sourav Ganguly on social media. Taking to the micro-blogging site, Yuvi wrote greater the man greater the journey highlighting Ganguly's journey from Indian captain to BCCI President. The former all-rounder then added he thought that it will b a great insight for a cricketer to be an administrator & make others understand admin from a players point of view. The Player of the Tournament of 2011 World Cup then wished only if Dada was the President while the yoyo test was in demand. This was with reference to the last days of Yuvraj Singh's international cricketing career.

Meanwhile, Sourav Ganguly also replied back. He thanked Yuvi for his hilarious tweet and then had some respectful words for him. Ganguly wrote that Yuvraj Singh had won two World Cups for India (2007 & 2011) and that it was time to do good things for the game now. Dada then called Yuvi his superstar and blessed him.

Yuvi and Dada's contribution to Indian cricket

Yuvraj Singh had made his debut at the ICC Knockout Trophy 2000 which was also Ganguly's first-ever assignment as captain. India had played some outstanding cricket as they finished runners-up. Both the southpaws were also members of the Indian squad which had won that famous tri-series final against England in 2002 at the 'Mecca of Cricket' Lord's. Yuvraj was involved in a key partnership with Mohammad Kaif when they had lost half their side and were very far away from the target. Yuvi and Dada's other memorable moments include reaching the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003 and the historic tour of Pakistan in 2003/04.
