In spite of delivering consistent performances with the bat, the right-hander keeps getting ignored from the selection committee for the national squad. In a Vijay Hazare game against Chhattisgarh a few weeks ago, Suryakumar played a scintillating knock of 81 runs from just 31 balls. His stroke-filled innings included eight hits to the fence and six hits over it. Even though his innings came in a losing cause for Mumbai, he earned many fans and admirers for his effort. One of those admirers was legendary Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh. Upon repeatedly ignoring the 29-year old talent, Harbhajan has slammed the MSK Prasad-led Indian selection committee. The 103-Test veteran strongly believes that the selection committee has remained keen on ignoring Suryakumar in spite of his recent domestic exploits. In his tweet, Harbhajan also had some encouraging words for the right-hander and urged him to keep working hard and ensured him that his time will come.
