Suryakumar Yadav Defends Sanju Samson During Stumper's Intense Mid-match Exchange with Jansen
Sanju Samson found some support in Suryakumar Yadav when he got caught up in a mid-match exchange against Marco Jansen & Coetzee during the IND-SA T20I Clash.
The latest India-South Africa outing saw the Suryakumar Yadav -led side secure a grand-fashioned win over the Proteas Men. At the Kingsmead Stadium in Durban, the visiting side were utterly dominant in the first match against the hosts. India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson was an absolute trailblazer for the side as he shocked SA with the bat with his sublime ton. But tensions were flaring at Kingsmead as Samson engaged in a mid-match tussle with South Africa's Marco Jansen over a dispute. That is when Skipper Suryakumar Yadav stepped into the defence of his compatriot during the match.

IND vs SA: Tensions Flare between Jansen & Samson, Skipper Surykumar Yadav Comes in to Mediate
The India vs South Africa match saw a heated moment in the 2nd innings when Proteas' Marco Jansen was upset over Sanju Samson . The moment happened during the second delivery of the 15th over when the India stumper got onto the middle of the pitch while collecting the ball. Stepping into the middle part of the pitch is forbidden, and Samson went close to it, which irked the South African bowling all-rounder and led to a confrontation. Gerald Coetzee joined Jansen, as both of them had an intense conversation with Samson.
That is when India Skipper Suryakumar Yadav sensed that the situation could spark a fire, and he stepped in to mediate between both sides. With SKY being involved, the matter was instantly disseminated, preventing further escalation. The game resumed as normal, and India continued their spectacular bowling display. The footage of the incident has been making rounds over various social media platforms.
Team India went on to win the first T20I match against the Proteas Men by 61 runs at the Kingsmead Stadium in Durban, South Africa. Sanju Samson emerged as the Player of the Match for his exceptional 107-run knock with seven fours and 10 sixes and had a strike rate of 214.00. While Sanju flared with the bat, the Indian bowling attack also did a decent job of limiting the SA batters. Spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi picked up three-wicket hauls to break the hosts' momentum and eventually win the inaugural match of the T20I series.
