Team India to reward top performers with business class seats: Reports

Team India have decided to reward top performers with a business class seat. Shami got a business class ticket to Pune from Vizag after an impressive outing.

The BCCI and team management have decided to reward the top performers of the match. The reward will be a ticket of business class on a plane to feel the luxury.

A source told a leading media publication that Mohammed Shami got a business class ticket to Pune from Vizag after an impressive outing in the first test in Vizag. The sources added that Delhi pacer Ishant Sharma got to travel in the business class before it.

The report further stated that the BCCI cannot get seats in business class for the entire team. Those seats are few in number. So the team management decided to reward business class seats for performers. After the Vizag Test, Shami was given a business class seat. Before that, Ishant got it.

According to another report, BCCI also made some changes to the rules about the stay in the hotel. Previously, only the coach and the captain used to get bigger rooms in the hotel where the whole team stayed but from now on, the vice-captain will also get the luxury of bigger rooms. Rohit Sharma, the vice-captain of the T20s and ODIs and Ajinkya Rahane, the vice-captain of the test side, will also get to stay in the bigger rooms of the hotel alongside coach and the captain.

The source added that it was decided that the vice-captain should get the third suite as he is the second-most important person in the team.

India meanwhile, have completed a whitewash against South Africa after winning the third Test in Ranchi. Kohli and Co sealed the deal and completed a memorable series win after winning all three Tests quite convincingly on home soil.
