Gautam Gambhir has revealed the key members of Team India's coaching staff for the Sri Lanka series during a press conference.
Under head coach Gautam Gambhir, India sets off a new chapter when they square against Sri Lanka in a white ball bilateral series of 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs starting on Saturday. Gautam Gambhir and Ajit Agarkar held a press conference in Mumbai on Monday, July 22, 2024, ahead of the series, where they answered many press questions. All eyes are on India to see the team's performance and strategic orientation under Gambhir's leadership, as this series is the first one the new head coach works on.

Gautam Gambhir introduced the core of his coaching staff for the Sri Lanka series during a press conference, expressing optimism about their potential for success. The staff includes Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate, whom he has previously worked with. Additionally, T Dilip is set to return as the fielding coach, while Sairaj Bahutule is expected to contribute to the coaching setup. Gambhir anticipates a fruitful tenure with the newly appointed staff based on positive feedback from the players. The final coaching staff will be decided after the India vs Sri Lanka series.
“This is going to be the crux of the staff. I have worked with Abhishek and Ryan earlier. Hopefully, we can have asuccesfull tenure as coaches. Really looking forward to working with the rest of the guys, got some good feedback from the players about them.”
