IPL 2020: Trent Boult's form in IPL, addition to Mumbai Indians and T20 stats
IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals have released one of their key fast bowlers Trent Boult and he will be representing Mumbai Indians in the upcoming edition of IPL.

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals have released one of their key fast bowlers and New Zealand cricketer Trent Boult as the transfer window continues to see some bold moves. Boult will now be representing Mumbai Indians, which is led by Rohit Sharma in the upcoming edition.

Boult in IPL
Boult made his IPL debut in 2015 after his splendid run in the World Cup. He finished second in the leading wicket-takers list at the 2015 World Cup. The New Zealand cricketer has played for Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals. The fast bowler picked 38 wickets in the 33 matches he played in the IPL. In 2018, he was Delhi’s highest wicket-taker with 18 wickets whereas he finished on the fifth spot overall. Meanwhile, in 2019, he played a few games as DC made him warm benches for most of the games. He played five matches and picked five wickets in the last edition.

In the T20 format, New Zealand cricketer Boult has played 27 matches in the T20 internationals, picking 39 wickets. His best figures came in against India at Rajkot as he picked 4 wickets giving away 34 runs in November 2017. The transfer will be closed after November 14. Recently, spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin was shifted from Kings XI Punjab to the Delhi-based franchise for 7.6 crores. The IPL 2020 auction will be held in Kolkata on December 19.
