The T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to take place from June 4 to June 30. England are the defending champions having won the title in Australia last year.
Uganda have become the 20th team to qualify for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, which is slated to be held in the United States and West Indies. Uganda joined Namibia from the Africa region to book a spot in the marquee ICC event after they defeated Rwanda in the final game of the T20 World Cup Africa Region Qualifier.
This is the first time Uganda will feature in an ICC World Cup event. Uganda also became the fifth African nation to qualify for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup after South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. Earlier in the qualifiers, Uganda stunned Zimbabwe to register a historic defeat, which also helped their cause in qualification.
