Virat Kohli is arguably one of the best to have held a bat and hence getting his wicket is a dream for many bowlers - such is his reputation. Ahead of the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Australia pacer Scott Boland has hailed Kohli and admitted that getting his wicket would be a dream come true for him. Boland said this in an interaction with Daniel Cherny by a beach.

What Boland Said…

"Virat Kohli is a big wicket. It'll be nice to get his wicket in the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy"

Boland, who has been dealing with injuries, recalled a match for Durham at Edgbaston, where he had to hobble onto the ground.

“I got back up, hobbled out onto the ground, and I knew I was in trouble,” the 35-year-old had said to cricket.com.au. A post-match X-ray revealed a tear in his right foot’s plantar fascia, an injury that would require at least ten weeks of rehabilitation, prematurely ending his UK venture and his hopes of playing T20 cricket in the Blast.

“But I think coming home, having a big pre-season which I haven’t had for three or four years as well, having four months in the gym and building up my bowling slowly, I think it’s going to benefit me going into the Tests,” Boland optimistic about the upcoming summer that includes the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against India.

“I want to play as many games before the Australian summer to make sure my body’s in a really good spot,” he said hoping to play the iconic Ashes as well.

What's Up With Kohli?

Kohli, who featured in the ODIs against Sri Lanka will not be playing the Duleep Trophy. In all probability, he would next be seen playing the Test series against Bangladesh. He would be an integral part of the side in that series.
