He evidently did it during the practice session at Chepauk ahead of the start of the India vs Bangladesh 1st Test. Kohli's destructive stroke left a mark as well which the ground management will unfortunately now have to deal with.

Virat Kohli Breaks Wall at Chepauk

The Indian batter carried out a fabulous practice ahead of the start of the incessant international cricket and showcased that he is in fine touch. On Sunday, Kohli exhibited destructive hitting and among the strokes, one-six of his even broke one of the walls built closer to the dressing room at Chepauk.
