BBL introduces Electra Stumps to the game of cricket
During Thursday's BBL 2023/24 game between Sydney Sixers and Adelaide Strikers, the world of cricket witnessed the first glimpse of "Electra Stumps." What is it? As the name suggests, it is the traditional stumps of the game, with a modern E-touch.
To define what it is, former England captain Michael Vaughan and former Aussie batsman Mark Waugh got together before the match and highlighted the features of the new tool of the new era.

What are the features of Electra Stumps?
The three stumps will now have more role in the game than just going for a toss. There are lights installed in the wickets, which will flash red upon a dismissal. The wickets will showcase different colours when a four or a six will be hit. Similarly, a no ball will also be indicated by the flashing of a red and white scrolling. And in between overs a purple and a blue scrolling will be exhibited on the stumps.
Thus, gone are the days when only a typical keyboard used to display RGB lights, now the sort of concept is induced with the cricket's stumps as well.
About the match, Sixers batted first and and got to the par total of 155/7 after 20 overs. In reply, Strikers are currently at 103/4 after 14 overs, and might fancy themselves to get the remaining runs as a well set Matt Short is batting at 40 and Jamie Overton has taken the time to get his eye in.
