They call this the 'Mother of all rivalries'. The die-hard cricket fans from the sub-continent are gearing up for yet another mouth-watering blockbuster clash between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan as the two teams will lock horns against each other in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 clash at the Old Trafford in Manchester on Sunday. This will be the seventh World Cup meeting of both sides. The Men In Blue will look to maintain their supremacy over their neighbours with another victory and thereby, continue their unbeaten run in the quadrennial event while Pakistan will be hoping to register their maiden World Cup win over India. Nonetheless, when it comes to head-to-head ODI records, Pakistan are ahead with a 73-54 victory margin.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's fast bowling sensation Mohammad Amir means business when his team will be up against India on Sunday. Speaking to a new agency, Amir said that his mother will definitely be praying for him from the heavens. The pacer also added that his mother would always be found before the television and all the time praying for his success and her biggest wish was of him getting five wickets and when he did get five wickets, he cried and remembered her words.

When Pakistan's World Cup squad was first announced, Amir's name was not there in the side. However, he proved that he is an invaluable member of the team with some remarkable bowling performances. In Pakistan's last match against the defending World Champions Australia, Amir was the pick of the bowlers as he had scalped 5/30 from his 10 overs at an economy rate of 3.00 which included two maidens as well.

Amir had bowled an outstanding opening spell against India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final where he had accounted for India's top three batsmen and tilted the momentum completely in Pakistan's favour as they went on to beat their arch-rivals by a huge margin of 180 runs.
