Former England footballer David Beckham is expected to attend the India vs. New Zealand semi-final match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday, alongside India icon Sachin Tendulkar and a slew of celebrities. The football great is in India for three days and is expected to make an appearance at the Wankhede Stadium. Several other former cricketers, movie stars, and sports icons are expected to be in the VVIP gallery as India takes on New Zealand.

Team India's dominant performance in ICC ODI World Cup 2023

India have put on a strong performance in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023, maintaining their nine-game winning streak. With 18 points, Rohit Sharma's team finished the league stage atop the ODI World Cup 2023 standings. After finishing first in the rankings, India will face the Kiwis, who ended fourth in the points chart. India began their campaign by defeating Australia. The 'Men in Blue' then defeated Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, New Zealand, England, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and the Netherlands.

The Blue Brigade completed the round-robin stage with a crushing 160-run victory over the Dutch side, maintaining their unblemished record in the ongoing campaign. New Zealand, on the other hand, finished fourth, knocking Pakistan and Afghanistan out of contention. The semi-final match will be a massive test for Team India, as this is the stage where they have faltered continuously over the last half a decade.

The Men in Blue have had a tremendous run in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. They have won all the matches in the league stage and are now two more victories away from scripting history.
