At New York's Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on June 6, during Pakistan's opening T20 World Cup match against the USA, Azam Khan got into a violent argument with some members of the audience.

After struggling during Pakistan's recent tour of England, Azam Khan was not impressive again when he was struck by a ball from Kenjige that slipped through to strike the leg stump. Pakistan was left reeling in 12.5 overs at 98-5 against a strong USA bowling attack after this dismissal.

Azam Khan seemed obviously irate with a part of the audience as he returned to the pavilion.

Pakistan posted an acceptable result of 159-7 in their 20 overs, even with Azam Khan failing. Key batsmen Babar Azam and all-rounder Shadab Khan contributed significantly, while in the last overs, Shaheen Afridi struck a vital 23* from 16 balls.

Player of the Match went to USA skipper Monank Patel for his outstanding 50-run performance during the run chase. The squad is presently leading Group A's points standings after two straight wins. The stage is set for an electrifying clash as Pakistan gears up to face India on June 9, 2024, in the ICC T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in New York. The anticipation doesn't end there, as the USA cricket team will square off against India on June 12, 2024, adding an extra layer of excitement to the tournament. Cricket fans around the world are eagerly awaiting these thrilling matchups.
