'I don't even want to watch the World Cup. When I will play...': Riyan Parag makes stunning remark
After his controversial YouTube search history expose, upstart RR batter Riyan Parag's latest remark over the T20 World Cup has sparked yet another tirade.
T20 fever has grabbed many countries as they prepare to compete in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 with some of their best players. With the event taking place in the United States and the West Indies, it has garnered a lot of attention as the teams continue their campaign. The Indian Cricket Team is ready to break into the tournament as they prepare for their group-stage start. However, one of the country's young cricketers, Riyan Parag, who was previously in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, has once again risen to the top of the trending list after making a controversial statement about the ongoing T20 World Cup.

Riyan Parag's 'biased' comments over T20 World Cup flares up the internet yet again
In a video shared by The Bharat Army on X (Formerly Twitter), Riyan Parag was recently asked to select his preferred semifinalists for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. The 22-year-old was in contention for a berth in India's T20 World Cup team following a standout performance for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024. However, the teenager declined to respond, admitting that he has little stake in watching the T20 World Cup. Parag added that he would have been more concerned with the likely top four had he been a member of the team.
"It will be a biased answer but to be very honest I don't even want to watch the World Cup. I'll just see who is winning it at the end, and I'll be happy. When I will play the World Cup, I will think about top four and all of that," Parag said during the conversation with The Bharat Army.

Riyan Parag shot up to fame lately, but it is not because of his standout performance in the IPL 2024 season. Parag was recently doing a live-streaming session, where he unknowingly showed his YouTube search history, which had inappropriate searches. Parag's attempt to connect with the audience turned out to be a major mishap.
After their warm-up against Bangladesh, Team India will face Ireland in the group stage opener on June 5, 2024, at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island, New York.
