'He is saving it for the finals': Rohit Sharma makes big proclamation on Virat Kohli's dismal form
Rohit Sharma believes Virat Kohli's best form is yet to come as Team India seal their way into the final after defeating England in the T20 World Cup semifinal.
Team India has secured their place in the final thanks to their ability to deliver a gritty performance against the opponents. Despite some talented players' inability to hit huge shots, the team has overcome all competition. Team India will face South Africa in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup final after defeating England in the second semifinal. However, Virat Kohli's form has been a point of incredible chatter as he has been failing to rake up runs with the bat. But despite being out-of-form, he continues to receive support from the skipper, Rohit Sharma.

Virat Kohli's form continued to be a debater as the star-batter failed to produce with the bat yet again. Virat has been an inconsistent player and hasn't been able to open big. Unlike Rohit, who put up 50+ runs in the super-important semifinal, Kohli could not shine with the bat and had to leave early. After hitting just nine runs, he was bowled out by Reece Topley as the batter mistimed the shot and the ball smacked the wicket behind him.
"He (Kohli) is a quality player. Any player can go through that. But again, we do understand his class and we do understand his importance in all these big games. Form is never a problem because when you have played cricket for 15 years, form is never a problem. I thought he's looking good. The intent is there. It's probably saving for the finals,” Rohit seemed confident while speaking about Kohli.
Even Team India coach Rahul Dravid believes Kohli had the tempo but he was just unlucky at that time. The coach affirmed that there is a big knock coming up from his side.
"You know with Virat, the thing is, when you play a slightly high risk brand of cricket there can be times when it doesn't come off. Even today, I thought he hit a really good six to set the tempo but he was just unlucky that the ball seamed a little bit more. But I love the intent, I love the way he went about doing it. And for some reason, I don't want to jinx it but I think there's a big one coming up. I'm just loving his attitude and that he's committing himself on the field - I think he deserves it," said the India coach.

England were in serious trouble when they faced India while batting in the second innings. Rohit Sharma's gamble in selecting a spin-heavy team paid off, as they punched England's return tickets to home, effectively ending the defending champions' season. England was completely wiped out by the Men in Blue, who demonstrated a bowling masterpiece. Bowlers Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel were on fire as they took the English batters to the limit. India did a great job with the bat as they put up a score of 171, which the Englishmen failed to chase up and were bundled at just 103 overs.
