IND vs PAK: Haris Rauf couldn’t control his frustration against India

Following a decisive seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in the 2023 World Cup, India continued their winning streak and soared to the top of the points table. The Men in Blue easily chased down the target of 192, leaving Pakistan with no opportunities to gain control.

As India maintained their lead, Pakistan's fast bowler Haris Rauf became increasingly frustrated in his attempts to dismiss the Indian star batter, Shreyas Iyer. With no success to show for his efforts, Rauf's fury boiled out, and he threw the ball at Iyer following the end of the 10th over of the match.

The ball sailed past the batter and into the waiting hands of the wicketkeeper. The audience's reaction to Rauf's behaviour was not positive; they booed to show their disgust for the lack of sportsmanship from the Pakistan bowler.

Rauf, unfazed by the crowd's reaction, continued bowling, starting his third over with another fastball. Shreyas Iyer, though, had a quick response this time, as he hit the ball for a boundary. Iyer resisted all attempts to remove him from the game as Pakistan failed badly.

How many runs did Shreyas Iyer and Rohit Sharma add in the IND vs PAK match?

Shreyas Iyer was instrumental in India's win by scoring 53 runs undefeated off of 62 balls. He and Rohit Sharma added crucial 77 runs together for the third wicket. The wicket of Rohit Sharma off Shaheen Afridi's bowling prevented him from reaching the eighth World Cup century of his career. His early initiative had put India in a commanding position, and he left when victory was within striking distance.

India's bowlers worked well together to restrict Pakistan to just 191 runs before they were all out. All five bowlers (Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Mohammed Siraj) were among the wickets and Pakistan's batting order collapsed as a result.
