'Laanat hai terepe Kamran. Before u open your filthy mouth...': Harbhajan makes Akmal apologise

Team India put up a performance of a lifetime with their bowling when they took on Pakistan at the Nassau County Stadium in New York. In a low-scoring affair, the Rohit Sharma-led side snatched the win away from the Babar Azam-led squad. The odds were against India, but the team's bowling was immaculate as they put PAK at bay and did not let them reach the target. But ex-PAK cricketer Kamran Akmal was distasteful with his vile remarks towards Arshdeep Singh and his religion. Ex-India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh took issue with the matter and launched a verbal attack on the PAK cricketer.

Harbhajan Singh criticizes Kamran Akmal over his distasteful comments on Arshdeep, latter apologizes 

Arshdeep Singh took the final over of the India-Pakistan match at the Nassau County Stadium and he was successful in holding back the batters and even took a wicket in the process. But former PA cricketer Kamran Akmal, who looked salty about Pakistan's defeat, made a distasteful and controversial remark on Arshdeep's religion when he was sitting on a Pakistani news show's panel. The sickening remarks infuriated the legendary off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who fired back at Akmal for his words towards Arshdeep Singh.

"Lakh di laanat tere Kamraan Akhmal.. You should know the history of sikhs before u open ur filthy mouth. We Sikhs saved ur mothers and sisters when they were abducted by invaders, the time invariably was 12 o’clock . Shame on you guys.. Have some Gratitude," Harbhajan tweeted on X (Formerly Twitter).

After Harbhajan lashed out at Kamran Akmal, the latter came out with a response and condemned his use of words towards the Sikh community.

"I deeply regret my recent comments and sincerely apologize to [@harbhajan_singh] and the Sikh community. My words were inappropriate and disrespectful. I have the utmost respect for Sikhs all over the world and never intended to hurt anyone. I am truly sorry," tweeted Akmal.

Speaking of the match, while India couldn't contribute big with the ball, they compensated for it while doing miracles with the ball. At the Big Apple, the Jasprit Bumrah showcase was on fire as they took out their opposition with ease and did not let them reach the target. In what looked like an easy win for Pakistan, Team India took it out of their plates and served it for themselves.
