IND vs PAK: Rohit Sharma impressed Hardik Pandya tremendously
India's skipper, Rohit Sharma, demonstrated his power with the bat on October 14 during an exciting match at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, hitting 86 runs in just 63 balls. With this outstanding effort, India were able to chase down Pakistan's target of 192 runs and win the 2023 ODI World Cup fixture for the third time in a row.
After the Indian bowlers bowled brilliantly, Rohit Sharma quickly grabbed control of the innings by taking advantage of the Pakistan bowlers' short deliveries. Six sixes and six boundaries punctuated Sharma's spectacular assault, which saw him end after 22 overs with India up to 156 runs.
Hardik Pandya, the vice captain of India, took on the position of anchor for the BCCI following the match. He had a discussion with Rohit Sharma about his outstanding batting display. Sharma conveyed his happiness at the win and emphasised the thrilling feeling of coming out on top in a game of such importance. Well, Hardik was so impressed by the batting performance of the captain that he asked him to talk about his batting more than the result. Hardik Pandya said:
“It felt like you were batting in PlayStation,”
While replying to this statement, Rohit Sharma emphasised the fact that it didn’t come in a day and that he had been trying to bat like this for the last two years. Rohit Sharma said:
“I have been trying to bat like that since the last 2 years, because the wickets are so good that I want to play my shots. I know that I missed out on a century, but I do not come with that mindset anymore,”

In addition to expressing his gratitude, Hardik Pandya added that he gets upset when Rohit performs so well against him in training. When he witnesses him performing that well in a match, though, he gets delighted. Pandya added:
"I'll tell you honestly. We feel sad when you hit us for four and then I see a match like this and I tell myself that don't worry, you had bowled fine,"
Rohit Sharma and his team will play Bangladesh on October 19, 2023, at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
