Team India is steadily making their approach towards the West Indies as they advance to the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Super 8. India had to push their way through after the Nassau County Stadium tracks did not work in their favour. Star hitters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma underperformed in the United States, losing wickets at a high rate. But the bowlers performed a miracle for them in the showpiece tournament. With India preparing to tour the Caribbean, a former T20 World Cup winner urges the team's management to make some crucial changes and replace one of the team's poor judgements.

Former T20 World Cup winner wants an all-rounder to be replaced, wants star keeper-batter in the mix
Team India will lock horns with Canada for the first time in a T20 match-up, and there are concerns about some underperforming stars of Team India. Ahead of the clash, a former T20 World Cup for India back in 2007, Sreesanth, wants India to make a change in the side and wants Sanju Samson to feature in replacement of Shivam Dube before the Super 8s.
“If they (Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli) are opening, I don't see any reason to change the XI. Axar Patel is bowling well. If you look at Shivam Dube, yes, he hasn't played well in the first two games, but we know what he can do with the bat. But I would like to see one change, and that is Sanju Samson come in the team.

“If Shivam Dube is not bowling, then Sanju should be given an opportunity; we know he is good enough. The other day, when I spoke to him, he was hungry to get that opportunity. The form he is in, and apart from wicketkeeping, he is a superman fielder,” Sreesanth said while speaking to ANI.

Sanju Samson featured just once during the T20 World Cup warm-up match against Bangladesh. However, the wicketkeeper-batter failed to make an impact in the match. Samson had an exceptional run as a skipper with the Rajasthan Royals, but he has been warming the bench and is yet to feature in an official match.
With Team India heading into the Super 8s, there might be a chance for Sanju to feature in the final group-stage match. But it is yet to be seen as rainfall may have some other plans.
