One of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024's biggest showcases will be the electrifying encounter between India and Pakistan at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. That match is expected to attract the masses, as the age-old cross-border cricket rivalry has been a captivating affair. Given that both teams do not host each other for bilaterals, the ICC events are the ones when they could be seen in action. However, as the day of the clash comes close, there is a significant threat to the event which was issued by a terrorist group. A threat, which was allegedly posted by an organization that backs an Islamic State terrorist group, surfaced recently. It made cryptic allusions to "Nassau Stadium" and the June 9 match between India and Pakistan. There are only a few days left before the intense fight, and Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman insisted that precautions are being taken. Blakeman is sure that nothing will happen during the game, but Nassau County will be prepared in case it does.

"Well, we've been gearing up for that match because we know it's the biggest match in the world and we'll have extra security that day. We have our Nassau County Police Department, which handles major events all the time.

"They do a great job. We have our New York state police. We have our state park police, FBI, Port Authority Police, MTA police, fire marshall, and volunteer firefighters. We're going to be ready. Customs and Border Patrol is here today. We're going to be ready for anything that might occur, and we're pretty confident it won't happen. But if it does, we're ready," Bruce Blakeman told ANI.
