T20 World Cup 2024: ICC reveals names of umpires for India vs England & South Africa vs Afghanistan
The ICC has officially named the match officials for all the Men's T20 World Cup semifinal matches between India, England, Afghanistan and South Africa.
The Super 8 stage of the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 has come to an end after the Afghanistan vs Bangladesh encounter at the Arnos Vale Stadium. The clash ended up being a neck-to-neck thriller with rain occasionally adding to the anticipation. The Rashid Khan-led Afghan Atalans were able to seal their spot in the semifinal after they bowled out the Bangladesh batters. With the semifinal stage all set to commence, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially named the list of umpires and on-field officials for both matches.

Umpires & on-field officials for ICC Men's T20 World Cup semifinal stage officially announced
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially designated New Zealand's Chris Gaffaney and Australia's Rodney Tucker as on-field officials for the second semifinal of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup between India and England at Guyana's Providence Stadium. Joel Wilson will be the TV umpire for a re-run of England's 2022 semifinal victory, with Paul Reiffel serving as the fourth umpire. Jeffrey Crowe of New Zealand has been named as the second semifinal match referee.

South Africa vs Afghanistan: Umpires and officials
Richard Illingworth of England and Nitin Menon of India will serve as on-field umpires when Afghanistan makes history by playing South Africa in their first T20 World Cup semifinal on Thursday in Tarouba, Trinidad and Tobago. Richie Richardson of the West Indies will referee the opening semifinal match.

India completed a spotless Super 8s campaign with a 24-run win over Australia. Afghanistan, on the other side, advanced to the last four stages with an eight-run victory over Bangladesh via DLS, and as a result, Australia was knocked out of the T20 World Cup title contention.There's a lot of stake as the exciting semifinal stage approaches. South Africa are looking to secure a maiden T20 World Cup final appearance, while Afghanistan is seeking to make history to reach their first-ever appearance in a final of an ICC tournament. England is seeking to defend their title, while Team India is aiming to break their longstanding drought.
