Declaring Jay Shah "the most powerful man in world cricket"  (via-PTI) in a remark made by MCC President Mark Nicholas highlights Shah's enormous impact on the globe of cricket. Being the Secretary of the BCCI, Jay Shah is well-known in the cricket community for his choices and deeds. Reflecting the enormous influence he has on cricket globally, his strategic vision and leadership have cemented his place as an essential factor in determining the future of the game.

At ₹16,875 crore (US$2.0 billion) in earnings for the fiscal year 2023–2024, the BCCI is the strongest cricket board in the world. With a tax contribution of ₹4,000 crore (US$480 million) for 2022–2023 BCCI has unparalleled economic sway. President Roger Binny and Secretary Jay Shah are leading the way in which BCCI is still flourishing. The board has hosted multiple Cricket World Cups and is poised to hold the 2026 T20 World Cup, the 2029 Champions Trophy, the 2031 Cricket World Cup, and the 2025 Women's Cricket World Cup, strengthening its global domination.
