'Rizwan deserved this': Fans react after Mohammed Siraj hits Rizwan while attempting run-out

In a heated moment during the India vs Pakistan cricket clash, fast bowler Mohammed Siraj unintentionally left Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan in visible pain. The incident occurred when Rizwan drove a full delivery back to Siraj, who, in an attempt to run him out, threw the ball towards the stumps.

Siraj hits Rizwan with the ball, fans react

Unfortunately, instead of hitting the stumps, the ball struck Mohammad Rizwan flush on the hand. The ball then deflected towards fine leg, and despite being in considerable discomfort, Rizwan seized the opportunity to take a single. 

Siraj, recognizing the unintentional error, was quick to apologize. Demonstrating sportsmanship, the two players shared a brief hug, diffusing any potential tension.

The incident sparked a flurry of reactions from fans on social media. Some humorously suggested that Rizwan "deserved" the hit, while others praised the sportsmanship displayed by both cricketers.

IND vs PAK, T20 World Cup 2024

Indian bowlers, led by an outstanding Jasprit Bumrah, were collectively brilliant, firing their team to a thrilling six-run win over Pakistan in a low-scoring T20 World Cup match here on Sunday.

Bumrah (3/14) and Hardik Pandya (2/24) gave nothing away while defending a paltry 120, and India restricted Pakistan to 113 for seven.

Earlier, pacers Naseem Shah and Mohammad Amir produced wonderful spells as Pakistan bowled out India to 119 after a couple of rain interruptions.
