David Miller trashes rumours of retirement from T20Is
David Miller has quashed all the reports of taking retirement from the international T20 scene. Through an Instagram story, the South African batter has made it known that he is active in the format and is optimistic that his "best" is yet to come.
"Contrary to some reports, I have NOT retired from T20 International Cricket. I will continue to be available to play for the Proteas. The best is yet to come." David Miller on reports of retirement.
David Miller opens up on losing the T20 World Cup 2024
After losing the T20 World Cup 2024 final vs India, David Miller cut out a distraught figure at the Kensington Oval field. Later he expressed his plight and said that words can't explain how tough it is to swallow the pill of losing the T20 World Cup final.
“I am gutted!! Really tough pill to swallow after what transpired 2 days ago. Words don’t explain how I am feeling. One thing I do know is how proud I am of this unit.” Miller on Instagram.
While he has to endure the pain of losing the final, nothing could take away the fact that David Miller played a prominent role in South Africa's undefeated progress to the final. He scored 169 runs in the tournament at an average of 28.16.
