India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant is back in the blue jersey after more than a year, gearing up for his return to international cricket during the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 next month. Pant's journey back to the team has been one of resilience and determination. India is set to open their campaign against Ireland on June 5 in New York. This match could mark Rishabh Pant's much-anticipated comeback for Team India if he is picked in the playing XI ahead of Sanju Samson, the other wicketkeeper-batter in the squad.

Before hitting the field, Rishabh Pant thrilled his fans by sharing a glimpse of himself in the Indian jersey along with an emotional message on social media.

“Ready. Able. Determined! From adversity to triumph, #RishabhPant's journey to the ICC Men's T20 World Cup is a testament of resilience and determination. Join him as he ignites the spirit of a nation at 7.52 PM during Matchdays! Stand Up for #TeamIndia with the swashbuckling wicket-keeper 5th June onwards, in #T20WorldCup,” the BCCI tweeted.

It will be interesting to see if Rishabh Pant is provided a chance in the playing XI ahead of in-form Sanju Samson. Pant was the mainstay in the Indian team before he got injured and was ruled out of the game. If he gets his position back upon returning to the side is yet to be seen. Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma have always maintained that if a player is ruled out because of an injury, he will get his place back in the team after return.
