The Men in Blue scrammed their way into Super 8 and even the semifinal stage after they defeated all their adversaries and trounced England into the semifinal. Rohit Sharma put up a show with the bat as he was able to help the team with the bat and elevate the team's score in the super-crucial semifinal match. Rohit has often gone viral for his stump mic interactions, and the IND vs ENG match was no exception. The star-India batter also proved that he is a man of his word in the process.

After Team India lost Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav cheaply, the onus was on skipper Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav to put up some runs on the scoreboard. The Hitman established a crucial alliance with SKY to provide India with a competitive advantage and restore their position at the top. After the rain break, the pair took the spinners after playing a few bold strokes to maintain the run rate.
Amid the match, the stump mic picked up a talk between Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav during the eleventh over. "Upar dale toh deta hu na (If he pitches the ball up, I will slog it)" was heard as the Hitman said. Rohit then delivered his word as he hit a grand six down the ground. The crowd at the Providence Stadium in Georgetown, Guyana went berserk after he hit the shot.

The Indian Cricket Team skipper expressed his delight after the Men in Blue won the semifinal against England, and Rohit was jubilant as the win came about exactly how he wanted it to be executed.
"Very satisfying to win this game. We worked really hard as a unit. To win this game like that was a great effort from everyone. We adapted to the conditions really well. It was a challenge and we adapted. We played the conditions really well," Rohit Sharma said in the post-match presentation ceremony.
Two undefeated sides will compete in the final as India and South Africa would lock horns in the summit clash at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. Expect it to be a thrilling encounter.
