Rohit Sharma injured again in Practice, MASSIVE blow to India ahead of Pakistan clash in T20 WC 2024

India's T20 World Cup 2024 campaign started in dominating manner after a thumping eight wicket victory over Ireland in their opening group stage fixture. Despite the win, there was cause for concern as Rohit Sharma retired hurt in the game after taking a blow to his hand while batting against Ireland. The Indian Cricket Team and management was confident that their skipper will be back in action agaisnt Pakistan after what was deemed as ‘a sore arm’. 

But in a latest development it has been reported that India have received a massive blow regarding the injury of captain Rohit Sharma as they prepare to face their eternal rivals in Pakistan on Sunday June 9th in a herculean clash at the World Cup.

Rohit Shrama's injury blow ahead of Ind vs Pak

Rohit Sharma's injury isn't related to the blow to his arm received against Ireland. Instead this time, Rohit Sharma was injured in his thumb while batting in the nets during Friday practice ahead of the match against Pakistan. 

According to the report, the blow to his thumb forced Rohit to stop practice instantly and he was attended to by the medical staff.  

But in a relief to India, after getting his thumb attended to Rohit Sharma resumed batting in the nets shortly afterwards but left after a few minutes, reported RevSportz.

There has been no official confirmation of the incident either by BCCI or anyone on the Indian team. As it stands, Rohit Sharma is officially still fit and available to play against Pakistan tomorrow.

The Biggest Rivalry in cricket resumes in New York 

India and Pakistan are set to resume their rivalry when they face off at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. 

India come into their contest high on confidence post their amazing win over Ireland. As for Pakistan, clouds of crisis and early elimination loom after their embarrassing loss to USA in the Super Over. 

Pakistan will look to bounce back against India but if India were to win then it will put Pakistan on the brink of elimination from the group stages of T20 World Cup 2024.
